I dropped the Taurus off tonight to have the new catalytic converter put into it on Friday.
Hopefully that will take care of the issue I was having with it. From what I've read, a faulty catalytic converter can cause the car to do exactly what mine was doing, so I'm going to guess that after the tune up I gave it and this replacement, it should be as good as new again.
The only problem is I don't think I'll be able to pick it up until Monday morning. Not really a big deal, but I would have liked to only be without it for a day or so.
