Tonight the Spartans began their quest to defend their Co-Big 10 Championship from last season.
The game started out pretty slowly, and the Spartans looked pretty anemic on both offense and defense.
But by the fourth quarter they seemed to be playing better. Maybe their performance on the field last season made it seem as if they should come out and just demolish a 1AA opponent, and that fact makes a 22 point victory seem like it wasn't very impressive.
But, as they said at the end of the game...a win is a win. So I hope they show up a bit stronger next week, and continue to get better as the Big 10 season approaches.
