Let's Keep it Rolling...

Last night the Vancouver Canucks and the Chicago Blackhawks played one of the most epic hockey games I've watched in a LONG time.

Vancouver had lost to the Hawks in the last two playoffs, and this year seemed to be in total control up three games to none in the series. Then the Hawks remembered that they were last year's champs, and fought back. An overtime win in game six gave the Hawks the chance to become only the fourth team in Stanley Cup history to come back from down three games to win a series.

The game started with Vancouver taking an early lead, scoring just about two minutes in. They then kept the pressure on for about the first 30 minutes...but Corey Crawford stood on his head and kept the Hawks in it...including a dominant save on a penalty shot early in the third period.

As the game wound down, Chicago started putting more and more pressure on, but then with about 3 minutes left took a penalty, which seemingly ended the momentum. But not to be outdone, the Champs put the jets on and ended up scoring a shorthanded goal with just under two minutes to play then held on to force overtime.

It was sixty minutes of the most epic, intense, and suspenseful hockey I've seen in a LONG time. Great saves, big hits, good chances, and awesome hockey filled the first three periods.

Then in overtime they were going back and forth when the Hawks turned the puck over in their own zone and then the Canucks found the twine behind Crawford for the win.

I can't blame Crawford for the loss at all, the guy played an absolutely amazing game. So did Luongo, and both teams gave it their all out there on the ice.

An epic end to finish an epic series.

Good stuff.
