A Reason to Turn The Wii On...

So today Cathy picked up a game that she had been waiting on. It is "Wii Sports Resort," and it's effectively the sequel to the game that came packed with the Wii originally "Wii Sports."

To play this one, you must use Nintendo's latest add-on, the Wii Motion Plus accessory. This thing plugs into the bottom of the Wii Remote and gives the controller added accuracy when it comes to sensing movements and such. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but after playing "Sports Resort" I can tell you with 100% assurance that it DOES work. The games in "Resort" would not have been able to be played with just the standard remote.

The game that Cathy and I seemed to enjoy the most, so far, was the sword games. It's like an American Gladiators style fencing game. Your characters fight on an elevated circle that has edges you can fall off of. When you fall off you plummet down into the water below. The controls of the swords works amazingly well. It's actually really fun to play.

The other awesome thing about this game?? Both Cathy and I worked up a pretty good sweat while we were playing, so it obviously is actually a pretty decent workout!!

If you have a Wii, I highly recommend picking up this title...especially if you liked "Wii Sports" to begin with!!!
