So everyone in the world it seems knows what "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" are. If you've never played them, chances are you at the very least know someone who has. And if you're one of the four people out there that don't eve know anyone that's ever played one of these games, then you HAVE seen them in stores. Basically, they are a phenomenon that has become so large that even people that don't play games know what these are and how they work.
I have "Rock Band" for the Wii. I've had "Guitar Hero" games in the past for my 360. They are great games. I really enjoy playing them.
However, this looks like it's going to be something different...and I think it's going to be great...
"DJ Hero" is slated for release this fall by the same company that brings us "Guitar Hero," Activision.
The game uses the same formula made so successful by the "Guitar Hero" franchise but takes it in a different direction. The falling notes indicate which buttons to press, which way to move the crossfader, and whether or not you will need to scratch the record.
Of course, you're thinking, how do you scratch a record in a game?? The answer...the new peripheral that will be released with the game. This is it here. Behold it's awesomeness...The peripheral will make the game work. The cross fader is the switch on the left of this picture that looks like it fades back and forth. The buttons are on the turn table, and that turn table actually moves for all of the scratching moves. It also breaks apart so that you can play it lefty or righty.
The controller itself is absolutely amazing to me...and the game looks to be really cool. I have always liked hip hop music, and this seems like it's going to be a game for people that are into that type of music.
Here's a quick trailer as well. Enjoy.
