So I forgot to mention on my blog that I went to see the new "Star Trek" movie the other day.
In a word: Awesome.
I really enjoyed it, from start to end. I wouldn't really consider myself a Trekker or anything like that, but I've seen most of the movies. I never really followed any of the TV shows, so I'm not really versed in the canon of the Trek universe, but this movie gave itself the perfect opportunity to reboot EVERYTHING.
The cast was good, the special effects were good, and one review that I read really put it in perspective. It said something like "This is the 'Star Trek' that Roddenberry always wanted to make, but never did."
