So tonight the Red Wings won again against the Hawks...and as the game was going on I started to really think about how this team has changed over the years.
In 97 and 98 when they won Cups, they were basically Team Russia West. The core of their team was made up entirely of Russian players.
Now, in 2009, the team is basically Team Sweden West. The Red Wings currently count EIGHT players on their roster from Sweden. They also have two players from Finland, which might as well be Sweden...
Either way, it's on to Chicago with a 2-0 series lead. Go Wings!!!
