There's a Reason...

...that this guy wears the "C" on his sweater.

...that this guy has raised four Stanley Cups above his head.

...that this guy is the first non-North American player to ever win a Cup as a Captain.


...and there's a reason that this guy came through tonight when his team needed it most. Nicklas Lidstrom scored two goals and assisted on a third as the Red Wings went to 5-0 with a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks tonight.

What is the reason for all of these things???

Nicklas Lidstrom is the best defensive player to every play the game of hockey. I don't care if he doesn't put his body on people, he doesn't need to. I don't care if he's quiet. He's passionate about the game, his family, his team.

He is a class act, bar none, and every team in the NHL could only dream of having a player like him.
